Karmazin's Sirius Signs NBA, Senate Alum Bill Bradley To Host Talk Show

"Fair and balanced" may be the intellectual property of News Corp. 's (nyse: NWS - news - people ) Fox News fiefdom, but Sirius Satellite Radio (nasdaq: SIRI - news - people ) seems to seek some balance of its own. Not in the political sense, but perhaps more in attitude. Led by Chief Executive Mel Karmazin , Sirius has famously signed racy raconteur Howard Stern , who was Karmazin's employee, when the latter was president of Viacom (nyse: VIAb - news - people ). Now, the No. 2 satellite broadcaster after market leader XM Satellite Radio Holdings (nasdaq: XMSR - news - people ) is broadening its offerings. Sirius on Wednesday said former U.S. Senator Bill Bradley will host and create "American Voices," a talk show on Sirius Talk Central. Slated for a May launch, the weekly show will feature guests, stories and current event op-ed features both domestic and global. Terms of Bradley's deal were not disclosed. In addition to being a former congressman, Bradley was a professional NBA basketball player and a Presidential candidate--yet defying logic, he was known for his polite good sportsmanship in all three of those dicey endeavors. "I will not just be interviewing my guests...I will be having a conversation with them about their lives," Bradley declared in a statement. "The show will strive for a balance between the predictable and the unexpected."
