SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO TO ANNOUNCE THIRD QUARTER 2004 FINANCIAL AND OPERATING RESULTS ON OCTOBER 27 Company to Webcast Earnings Call for Investors and Media

NEW YORK - October 20, 2004 - SIRIUS (NASDAQ: SIRI), the premium satellite radio provider known for delivering the very best in commercial-free music and sports programming to cars and homes across the country, today announced that it plans to release third quarter 2004 financial and operating results on October 27.

SIRIUS also plans to hold a conference call at 10:00 am ET to discuss these results with invited Wall Street analysts. Investors and the press can listen to the conference call via the company's website, sirius.com , and on its satellite radio service by tuning to SIRIUS Channel 131. A replay of the call will be available on the company's website for 10 days
